Seal Beach Swim - January 24, 2013
It was a cold 6:00 am swim in the rain today. There was a flurry of text messages beginning at 4:58 am and something resembling a decision to go despite the cats and dogs raining from the sky. I had lost my clear goggles on Sunday morning so I swam with my mirror-tint goggles, which was basically like swimming blindfolded since the sun wasn't even close to coming up when we got in the water. Happily, I found the swim cap and goggles I lost on Sunday in the trash can next to the showers when we got out. Breakfast at Old Town Cafe afterward.
