Dana Point Swim - June 29, 2013

This was one of the more auspicious beginnings to a swim we have had. We departed from the tidepool area near the Ocean Institute in Dana Point in a soupy fog. The few people that were around to witness this looked totally befuddled. We knew there were rocks to navigate as we made our way around the point. We took our time and regrouped regularly. After we made the turn northward, past Selva Beach, to Salt Creek, parts of the swim became more of a kelp crawl than actual openwater swimming. It was another adventure for the books (or blog). On the drive back to Pacific Whey, Bob retired from everything for the one millionth time.

Ironman Coeur d'Alene - June 16, 2013

Doug and Bill went up to Coeur d'Alene for the Ironman race again this year. For the second year in a row, Bill was laid low on the run portion. Doug finished yet another full Ironman race. Congratulations Doug! A few more and you will be in the special lottery for Hawaii.
